As part of an overall strategy to further the export of their premium Manx made spirits around the world, Isle of Man-based craft producer, The Fynoderee Distillery, is delighted to announce a new “Direct to Consumer” offering to six European countries.
Thanks to a new partnership with leading Danish drinks fulfilment house, Bemakers, a range of Fynoderee spirits are now available for members of the public to order online from Fynoderee.com for postal delivery to home addresses in France, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, The Netherlands and Austria. These orders can be made online from anywhere in the world for delivery to these 6 countries, with further countries expected to be announced soon.
This is the first time Fynoderee has been able to offer its customers a reliable postal service to mainland Europe, as British postal restrictions prevent the postage of high strength spirits outside of the British Isles due to differing customs and alcohol duties.
Co-Founder of The Fynoderee Distillery Tiffany Kerruish said:
‘It has always been a source of great frustration to us when our overseas fans have been unable to order from our website. Similarly, when locals have wished to send a bottle to friends and family abroad they have been unable to do so until now.’
Co-Founder Paul Kerruish added:
‘The Bemakers platform seamlessly integrates with Fynoderee.com and makes it very straightforward for orders to be made for delivery in these countries. Customers simply visit our website as usual and opt for the country they wish to send to, and then continue their shopping experience with us. Once the purchase is made, Bemakers then dispatches the relevant product from their Danish distribution centre and deals with the taxes and duties relevant to each country.’
Tim Cowsill, Chief Executive, Business Isle of Man added:
‘Today is a brilliant day for Fynoderee and the Isle of Man. We are pleased that the Fynoderee team will now be able to share their award-winning Manx products with a wider audience. We wish Fynoderee all the best in this endeavour as they join other food & drink producers from the Isle of Man that have a well-established base of loyal consumers in Europe and further afield.’
Tiffany explained further:
‘Online ordering has been an important sales channel for us since we launched our distillery and we have posted out over 13,000 orders via Isle of Man Post and courier to adreesses in the Isle of Man and UK, many of which have been for multiple bottles. Selling direct to our customers achieves the best margin for us as the producer and allows us to own the customer journey and build a loyal following of repeat customers.
‘This next stage is very exciting and for any Fyn fan who has friends and family in these countries and wishes to send some Manx magic to their door – now is the perfect time! We know we also have many fans in Ireland and we hope to add this location to our export locations as soon as possible.’
