For any newcomers, who are you and what do you do?

We are Hound and Howl, a Manx natural dog food company proudly making treats and raw dog food from locally sourced meat.

When did you establish your business?

We established in May 2018.

What inspired you to begin?

Our journey began with my adorable French bulldog, Stanley. Determined to find the most mouthwatering treats to start his training, I dived into the world of doggo snacks, but when I glanced at the back of the Ox Liver pack, I was baffled by a never-ending list of unpronounceable ingredients. And guess what? They weren't even good for him! That's when the magic struck, and we were inspired to create something healthy for him.

How has your business grown since then?

From a side hustle, now we employee a team of 6 and we're looking for more staff to increase production.

Where are you based and what does that community mean to you?

We’re based at South Quay Industrial Estate in Douglas - we love it here.

What does the Isle of Man Food & Drink Festival mean to you?

The importance of supporting local, as we wouldn’t be where we are without the advice and support from Isle of Man Food & Drink. They have been incredible, helping our business grow and supporting us every step of the way.

Which other local producer(s) are you most looking forward to seeing this year?

Thrive Farm - we love what they’re doing and we're excited to watch their community grow!

What’s on the horizon for your business?

Recruiting and increasing production.

What is your signature dish/product?

Top selling product - Manx Tripe Sticks, which pack a nutritional crunch. They’re made from a single ingredient and offer your pup all the benefits of proper chewing - from clean teeth and healthy digestion to feel-good endorphins!
